Horseback Riding
One of the best ways to see all the beauty that Wolf Laurel offers is on horseback. Our own Wolf Laurel Stables offer a guided trail service, well-trained horses, and over 20 miles of trails that offer 360 degree views of the Cherokee and Pisgah National Forests from the top of Big Bald Mountain at up to 5,500 feet! Other trails take you by beautiful creeks, and most are perfect for beginners. Wolf Laurel Stables truly offers the best horseback riding in North Carolina.

If you’ve never been on a horse before, don’t worry. Wolf Laurel Stables has a specifically designed platform so you can easily mount your horse, and they’ll give you the basic tips and instructions you’ll need before you head to the trail, or you can have your own lesson. Stables are open 7 days a week from June- October.
