several cultural events that residents and visitors to

 The Flat Rock Playhouse is located in Flat Rock NC, just
about an hour away from Wolf Laurel. Its mission is to
produce performing arts for the local community, as well

506 guests to enjoy regular performances. The garden
courtyard has a concession stand that serves light
snacks and drinks. It also offers souvenirs and

The Playhouse hosts over 90,000 patrons annually,
contributing to the local economy, and the arts in North
Carolina.
North Carolina is the seventh largest apple-producing
state in the US. To celebrate this achievement, the NC
Apple Festival is held each fall in downtown
Hendersonville. It features a fair on Main Street with
arts and crafts, as well as live music, apples,
activities for kids, lots of great food, and a parade on
Labor Day. The festival extends over 9 blocks of Main
Street with over 150 vendors. Its a great way to spend
the day with the family and enjoy lots of fun activities
and great food.
Asheville, the nearest metropolitan area, is about 40
minutes away from Wolf Laurel. Bele Chere is the largest
free street festival in the Southeast, and is held in
downtown Asheville the last full weekend in July every
year. Visitors from across the country come for the
festival, to enjoy all the arts and culture it offers as
well as the beautiful scenery. The festival features
exciting events for all members of the family, tons of
arts and crafts to see and buy, as well as some of the
